Just in time for Godzilla’s 70th anniversary, Santa Cruz, a legendary name in California skate culture, is going all out with its first-ever King of the Monsters collaboration.
Launching this November, the Santa Cruz x Godzilla collection will thrill fans of various Godzilla eras with an exciting array of apparel, accessories, and skateboard decks. A highlight of the Toho Kaiju series, Santa Cruz will introduce its biggest skateboard deck to date—the colossal 11" x 32" Godzilla deck, complete with a scaly, texture-inspired design.
For this special collection, Santa Cruz enlisted some of their top artists to reimagine iconic graphics by Corey O’Brien, Tom Knox, Rob Roskopp, and Natas Kaupas, all based on original artwork by Jim Phillips.
The designs pull inspiration from multiple Godzilla films, featuring a lineup of kaiju such as Shin Godzilla, Mechagodzilla, Hedorah, Minilla, Mohra, Baby Godzilla, SpaceGodzilla, King Ghidorah, Ebirah, King Caesar, Jet Jaguar, Gigan, Kamacuras, and Megalon.
